“How do I know that I’m ready to conduct a ritual in a good way?” Nona, someone new to Wicca, asked me.

“Are you familiar with cleansing your magical tools?” I replied. Here is a simple process you can use to cleanse your magickal tools and other items.

What you will need:

• Holy Water
• Blessed sacred incense

[Note: For creating Holy Water and Blessed Sacred Incense, click on my previous post How to Cast a Circle]

First, make sure the object is clean. If necessary, clean any stray particles of dirt from the object.

Sprinkle some holy water on the object and say:

I cleanse you with Earth and Water.

Consecrate the object by wafting the smoke of sacred incense over the object and say:

I charge you with Air and Fire.

Now, you have completed the process of cleansing and charging the object for magickal use.
