1. I’ve never drawn a circle before any Magickal undertaking, but I do shield myself. I use candles and incense (sometimes crystals) to assist in creating the energy I’m harnessing. As far as words go, unless my Muse bestows a gift upon me I “chat” with the Mother Goddess. Or Hekate if I’m working with Her particular energy. I focus on my intent and Will more than anything else, but I wonder if I should work at being more precise…

     I’ve noticed this pattern: If your heart suggests you be more precise with your words, you may want to listen to your heart.
     I have been trained in the Gardnerian Tradition to cast in a certain way. Witches of various traditions cast circle in different ways.

     • Thank you. When my “muse” calls to me it’s usually first thing in the morning when I am waking up. I quickly jot down the words which I then use in a Magickal working I’ve been planning or thinking about. Otherwise, I “go with the flow”.

       I am a solitary practitioner and do not practice any style. Sometimes the Magick comes out as a cast. My Irish Gypsy heritage expressing itself, which also explains my easy affinity to divining with Tarot.

       I will continue to follow my Heart, as you suggest, and perhaps hone my concentration and focus skills.
