
“Aggh. My stomach. Pain…” my friend Alex said.
It was the combination of fiery hot food and too much diet cola that gave him a gut punch.
The next day, Alex avoided both. No stomach pain.
Simple enough. Right?
Not if you’re addicted.
How many of us are addicted to declaring certain bad ideas and outcomes, as if that’s all we’ll ever experience in life?
Your words hold power.
Basically, you’re declaring your present and future with the words you express—all the time. If most of your words are fear-focused, guess what you get? Lots of fear-based moments.
Sure. There are predators (in human form and more) in this world.
The good plan is to learn to protect yourself … and that starts with what you say, what you plan … and how you take action.
For example, I have practiced certain self-defense moves (and took some training, here’s a link for Model Mugging). I even lift weights. In this modern society, these practices are as essential as reading.
Here is a chant you can use.
Goddess, I deserve Your Love.
I deserve to be safe.
I step forward into my better and better life.
So Mote It Be.
