“So much to learn and so many tests for my new job,” my friend, Ellen, said.

“Sounds like a lot of pressure,” I replied.

“How do we use an appropriate magickal spell in a situation like this?” she asked.

I looked into the process.

Here’s the Spell for Learning a New Subject for Work or School

This is a simple candle-lighting ritual that you can do on a waxing or full moon.

 What you will need:

• 1 Yellow Candle
• Drawing oil (you can use extra virgin olive oil)
• Your study supplies (books, notes, pen, or pencils)
• An altar to set them on (a simple table will do)
• Jasmine incense
• Candleholder
• Incense burner

Set your study supplies on the altar/table.

Cast Your Circle.

Cleanse and consecrate all your items by doing the following…

Bless the Incense

Hold your incense in your power hand, which is your dominant hand.

Say:

I bless this incense so that it is pure and clean, that it has the power to cleanse all that passes through its holy smoke.

Light your incense and say:

So mote it be.

Bless the Salt

Hold the salt in your power hand and say:

I bless this salt so that it is pure and clean. So mote it be!

Take three pinches of salt and sprinkle this amount in the spring water. Mix the salt and water with your index finger and say:

I bless this holy water so that it is able to cleanse all that it touches. So mote it be!

Asperge (sprinkle with the holy water) the candle with the holy water and say:

I cleanse you of all negativity.

Next, waft the smoke of the blessed incense around your candle and say:

I bless you for the good of all.

You have now cleansed and consecrated your candle.

Using the drawing oil, rub from the top of the candle to the base of it.

Put the candle in its holder. Place it in front of you. Meditate on what your subject is and then light the candle and say:

I ask you, Element of Air, that you be with me while I study.

May the material I need to know be blended into my mind, into my thoughts.

And be known to me during recall.

Light the candle and then take your study material and focus and study till the candle burns itself out … and longer if needed.

After your study session, do the Cakes and Wine ceremony.
