“You were bullied?” my friend, Kassie, asked.
“Yes. Mercilessly,” I replied. My memories of this still cause me pain.
However, those experiences have given me great compassion for those who suffer.
The Goddess called me to know pain and to develop compassion.
I have three insights for you about Answering the Goddess’s Call.
- The call may include pain.
The Goddess called me to experience pain and to develop compassion.
Are you experiencing some form of pain now? Is it possible that the Goddess is calling you to know certain things even though the path is painful?
My friend, Fred, said, “I didn’t know what grief was until one of my friends committed suicide. Then I knew real grief.”
So, the Goddess calls us to be deeper as human beings. Sometimes, the path calls for enduring pain.
- Let go of unnecessary suffering.
The Goddess doesn’t want her children to suffer unnecessarily. She gave us good reasoning skills.
My friend, Kassie, makes good choices. Her father is abusive. She limits her time around him. She does attend certain important family functions. She knows that her father will give her trouble.
She attends because she is deciding her own path.
She limits how often she talks about her father. Why? She is choosing to guard herself and her friends from unnecessary suffering.
The Goddess wants us to answer Her call. She wants us to use the gifts she gave us…our magick.
You can use this gift to stop unnecessary suffering. By doing magick, divination, and more. Using the gifts She has given, we can move beyond unnecessary suffering.
- The act of doing is all about celebration.
Sometimes we have personal thoughts like: “I’ll be happy when I write the novel, and it’s a bestseller.”
“Expression is the Celebration.” – Tom Marcoux, author
From this quote, I realize that the act of living and creating is an important part of the process.
The Goddess calls us to get involved, express ourselves, and fully live our personal path.
For example, I make witchy crafts at home. I knit and do other forms of art and crafts. From oils to stained glass, I love to express myself.
What do you do to express the divine within you?
How can you devote some time and effort this week to express yourself and the creativity that Goddess placed in you?
May these insights support your path.
Blessed Be,

I wish I kept track of the astrological Post I recently read. I think it mentioned the current planetary aspects and Chiron – The Wounded Healer.
The article spoke about our Shadow and how it affects past wounds, that they may be surfacing.
Chrion has been in Aries (my Sun sign) for a few years now, and one of the things I’ve notice is remembrances (both positive and negative) are bubbling up from my psyche.
I’d read somewhere that this happens often when we reach a certain age, but now I think it may have more to do with Chiron. What do you think?

I think that it’s important to observe anything that rises for us. Why? There may be a hidden gift. I remember this quote from the Goddess: “For mine is the secret door which opens upon the Land of Youth; and mine is the Cup of the Wine of Life” (from The Charge of the Goddess, written by Doreen Valiente).
I’ve noticed that even negative emotions can serve as secret doors for us. For example, when a dear friend of mine committed suicide, I missed them very much. Then I had a vision that they were okay on the other side of the veil.
