“That’s where the connection is,” I said to my friend, Judy.
“About what?” she asked.
“When I was 6, I got this intuition to get out of the kitchen. Good thing, too. My older brother and my father were tinkering with an old kerosene lamp—and it EXPLODED. Then, when I was 18, I got the intuition to keep my car motionless even though the light turned green. I sat there for more than 10 seconds. That was good because another car raced through the intersection. It could have slammed into my car. I heard an idea: ‘The best defense is NOT to be there,’” I said.
“So ‘intuition’ is the connection?” Judy asked.
“Yes. And ‘don’t be in the wrong place,’” I said. “But another idea arose for me. Following my intuition made me free. Free of wasted time, unnecessary pain, and plain trouble.”
“Sounds good,” Judy said. “Anything else?”
“When I was 23, I was walking with a friend near a lake. But I got an intuition, ‘Don’t walk over there.’ So, I guided my friend to turn back. It felt like walking in a particular direction would lead to something bad.”
“Wow. That reminds me of something I heard,” Judy said. “Some research points to how people will step into an elevator with someone they feel is sketchy. No animal will go where it feels unsafe. Just humans.”
As I reflect on these three times that my intuition kept me safe, I realize something.
Intuition can be the God and Goddess talking to you.
Here’s a prayer you can use.
Lord and Lady,
Speak to me through my intuition.
Keep me safe from troubles.
Help me grow on my healthy path.
So Mote It Be.
